Charles Greenberg, RA, LEED AP
Mr. Greenberg has diversified experience in project management and design for a wide variety of projects. He also has extensive construction management experience in the field, providing strategic leadership in the development and implementation of highly successful projects.
A principal of the firm since 2004, with EDG Architects since1996 and also from 1988 to 1990, Mr. Greenberg has been involved in residential projects from design through the completion of construction including both new construction and rehabilitation of multi-family housing, senior housing and mixed-use projects. He is LEED accredited and has integrated “green design” into these projects and facilitated Green Charrettes on a consulting basis.
Mr. Greenberg received a Bachelor of Architecture degree from the University of Oklahoma in 1966 and from Central University in Caracas, Venezuela in 1974. Prior to joining EDG, he worked for architectural and engineering firms in Philadelphia and Washington, DC. Mr. Greenberg also resided and worked professionally in both Venezuela and the U.S. Virgin Islands providing design and construction management for residential, commercial and governmental projects.
Donald E Tucker AIA, LEED AP
A principal of EDG Architects since 1974, Mr. Tucker has been responsible for the design and production of numerous projects ranging from single family residences and small group homes to large commercial and multi-family residential complexes. Mr. Tucker is LEED accredited and a recognized expert in sustainable design and production of multi-family, elderly and special user housing with an extensive portfolio of successful projects. His knowledge of real estate development also enables him to assist clients with site procurement, feasibility studies, financing, and development coordination.
Prior to 1974, Mr. Tucker was associated with several prominent architectural firms in Philadelphia and San Francisco. He received his Bachelor of Architecture Degree from the University of New Mexico in 1968 and was subsequently awarded a Fellowship in Urban Design at the University of California, Berkeley, where he received a Masters Degree in Architecture in 1970.
In addition, Mr. Tucker has taught Architecture at Temple University, lectured at numerous conferences and written articles on the topics affordable housing and elderly housing design. He is also a principal of AHD, Inc., a developer of affordable housing.
Mr. Tucker is both an experienced architect and developer and is thoroughly familiar with the activities required to bring a project successfully from conception to completion.
Huda Iskandar, LEED AP
Huda Iskandar has twenty years of professional architectural practice spanning the globe. Beginning with her extensive experience with sustainable building and green architecture in Luebeck Germany, where she received a Master’s Degree in Architecture in 1997, she continued to establish her strong design and management skills in the rehabilitation of residential, institutional, and commercial award-winning projects in Israel.
Ms. Iskandar also brought her professional experience to the United States in 2001, joining firms in Texas, Virginia, and eventually Bethesda, Maryland in 2002, where she now practices with EDG Architects. In addition to her experience with green architecture, her wide exposure to sustainable design, project management, and preparation of construction documents contribute to Ms.Iskandar’s integral role as Project Architect and Associate member of EDG.
Michael K. Tucker, RA, LEED AP
Michael Tucker is a registered Architect and LEED accredited professional with a diverse background in design, sustainability and historic preservation. Prior to joining EDG in 2013 Michael worked with Amie Gross Architects and Beyer Blinder Belle Architects in New York, NY and served as project architect and LEED Coordinator the award winning LEED Platinum Brooklyn Navy Yard at Building 92 museum. While at Beyer Blinder Belle, Michael participated in the renovation of several New York Landmarks including the Cooper Hewitt National Design Museum, The Standard Oil Building at 26 Broadway and The Church Pension Group headquarters, a 110,000 square foot office facility located in B. Altman building in midtown Manhattan. Michael holds a M.Arch from the Pratt Institute and a BA in environmental science from Eckerd College.
Timothy Powell LEED AP
Mr. Powell received his Master of Architecture in 2003 from the California State Polytechnic University at Pomona. He worked for several firms in Southern California on various projects in the public and private sectors before joining EDG Architects in 2014. Tim also has an undergraduate degree in Communication Arts and has worked on several feature films as well as for several cable television networks including C-SPAN, Fox Sports Net and E!Entertainment Television.
Thomas Shaw BA
Mr. Shaw has worked with EDG since 2000 and brings with him practical experience from working in the construction field and serving in the U.S. Army. He received his B.A. in Industrial Design from The Columbus College of Art and Design in 1990. During his time in the military, Mr. Shaw continued to pursue his education in subjects related to design and architecture. His creative background and methodical approach to problem-solving are invaluable assets to the EDG team.
